Not every property search is a straight road. For De Houthoeve, the journey started with a deal that was nearly sealed through March — until it fell through at the last minute. Rather than see it as a loss, March Companion Laurens Vermeulen treated it as a challenge. He set out to find a solution that would not only make up for the disappointment but deliver something even better suited to the company’s needs.
For over 30 years, De Houthoeve has been a trusted name in woodworking. That match came in the form of Desremo’s development at Filliersdreef 44 in Deinze. These newly built SME units are set in a craft and business zone, ideally positioned between the E17 and E40 motorways and within walking distance of a bus route linking Deinze and Ghent. Although Desremo typically handles sales directly, March was able to open the door for De Houthoeve. After several productive meetings, a 908 m² unit was chosen and tailored to meet the exact needs of a modern joinery operation.
